The groundbreaking for Glenwood took place in 1997, but the labor of love that resulted in a quality
retirement community in Marietta, Ohio began much earlier. Driven by a desire to create a retirement
community for active and independent seniors who wished to spend their senior years in the beauty of the Mid-Ohio Valley, a group of dedicated local residents partnered with Marietta Memorial Hospital to begin the process of planning their dream. A ribbon cutting ceremony was held in October 1999, and the first residents moved into the new Ohio retirement community in the same year. |
